Recreating the Techie Youth logo

Today, I used my digital drawing skills and the Techie Youth's logo to create a colorful version of the logo along with it's name. It was interesting to see how the logo looks vastly different from the original one which was completely white.

Why should you learn Python

Even though I have been interested in coding for a long time, I was never brave enough to start it because it seemed too hard. It seemed as if there was so much to learn and it would have been impossible for me to grasp the topics easily. But using Datacamp today changed my mind completely. In the python course, the steps are built in for complete beginners, and it's fun to learn just like a game. Every day, the importance of coding in our everyday life is increasing and as a result, I believe everyone should start learning basic coding. Python doesn't only help with calculations, it also can be used to build websites, apps, data analysis, data visualization, and more. And besides having coding skills as a high school student(while learning it for FREE) is a great way to stand out!

Preparing for a job

Preparing for a job has multiple steps including writing a resume and cover letter, building a LinkedIn profile, getting an interview. All of these steps play tremendous value for getting a job and as a result, the candidate should excel in each of them if they want to land the job. Some tips for writing the resume would be to showcase and glorify all achievements and skills with complete honesty. The cover letter should be a summery of what the candidate can do for the company and what makes them standout from other applicants. The interview is a nice way to show the social side of a person since the resume cannot describe a person besides their previous achievements. During the interview professionalism is key. A candidate should always be prepared to answer general questions such as "Tell me about yourself" and/or "Why do you want this job?" At the end of the interview the candidate in return should also ask questions to the interviewer related to the company or the interviewer themselves that shows their dedication and commitment.

Some tips for High schoolers

Being in high school is a turning point from teenage to being an adult. This means there's a lot of changes that need to be made for the better in fields of finance, time management, stress management, building relationships with friends and mentors, etc. Having a mentor during high school years can be a great experience that can guide a student to explore different opportunities. But nothing will come easily if the time and effort being out is just not enough. Besides academics, a high schooler should also focus on extracurriculars, leadership experience, community service, building a strong character, and having a social life. So what can a high schooler do to maintain such criteria? Well, joining after school clubs, getting a part time job, volunteering locally or virtually, having get together for friends and families, organizing events relevant to their passion can be a great start.

Basics of COPYWRITING

Copywriting is a writing style that is persuasive and designed for conversion. Copywriting is used for various platforms such as social media, sales pages, blogging websites/articles, promotional videos, mail flyers, etc. Copywriters don’t necessarily need formal training but a background in English, journalism, rhetoric, and communications is definitely a bonus! Major tasks of a copywriter include writing eye-catching headlines, convincing the readers to take action, making the customers the center of the message, not the business itself, etc. In the end, a rule of thumb for any copywriter would be to seek the reader’s attention, familiarize the readers with benefits from the features supplied and provide readers information on how to take action like a purchase link or an email address.
