It's a complex topic so we're only introducing the fundamental concepts associated with these features. Getting to grips with how tags allow us to give a more human friendly name to a specific revision of our folders/files is a key feature in SVN. Branching allowing us to have different copies of our files to work on - without fear of corrupting our main copy.
